Preparation for the Annual Practicing Certificate Validation
Every Registered and Enrolled Nurse in New Zealand is required to renew their Practicing Certificate, and this may require collecting and maintaining portfolio of evidence that the requirements of the New Zealand Nursing Council have been met.
This course assists the nurse to understand what is required and provides a logical method of preparing the information. It also provides examples of good practice. The portfolio is especially valuable when supplying information for an Audit however it is also an invaluable tool, promoting reflection and improvement of practice.
This module is delivered online and is learner driven. There is no maximum time required to complete the set learning hours.
Estimated number of hours: 2- 4 hours theory.

Have completed the Introduction to Healthcare module and assessment
Be able to provide evidence of a minimum 3 months work experience as a health care assistant at 20 hours minimum per week
Meet any other relevant entry criteria depending on your status - domestic student/PR or work visa holder. For work visa holders this will also including meeting English proficiency requirements.
