The Dementia for families short course is designed to give you a basic understanding of dementia and support groups that are available.
The short course will be covering the following:
– What is dementia?
– Risk factors
– Types of dementia
– Warning signs
– Stages of dementia
– Support groups
– Challenging behaviours
– Support and communication
This module is delivered online and is learner driven. There is no maximum time required to complete the set learning hours.
Estimated number of hours: 2 – 4 hours theory. No assessment is provided.
