This course is a level 4 Higher International Certificate in Aerospace Engineering. The course is 120 credits, and is therefore benchmarked to the first year of a UK undergraduate degree.
This is an open course, meaning you will first learn the core maths, science, and design skills needed in engineering. You will then cover specialist units in aerospace engineering such as aerospace design and structures, and flight mechanics.
The course is delivered fully online, with no deadlines and no exams – meaning you can learn at a time and place that suits you!
Modules
The course is split into 6 equal units outlined below:
– Engineering Maths
– Engineering Design and Ethics
– Engineering Science
– Aerospace Structures
– Flight Mechanics
– + one option unit of your choice from a given list
Each unit is split into bite-size chunks using a mixture of reading, videos, worked examples, and practice questions to prepare you for the assignments.
Assignments/Tests
Each unit is assessed via assignments which you can complete in your own time.
What will I learn?
In this course you will learn about aerospace engineering, from aerospace structures such as the design of modern-day aircraft and the engineering principles that influence the design and shape of the aircraft. You will also cover flight mechanics, and the fundamental engineering principles of how aircraft fly. In addition, you will cover the fundamental maths and science that underpin engineering as a whole.
