The Master in Information Technology (MIT) degree program provides a comprehensive perspective to the field of Information Technology. It is designed to develop the student’s skills to conceptualize, organize and undertake information technology projects of highly competitive value.

These skills constitute the necessary foundations for solving practical problems involving information technology that arise in business, governmental, and non-profit organizations. The curriculum provides an array of technical and management knowledge required to properly implement and manage IT solutions in such areas as digital marketing, data science, cybersecurity, and modern applications development.

Modules

Program Objetives:

Graduates of the Master in Information Technology are able to:

  • Develop the fundamental understanding of the technical foundation of information systems to support day-to-day business operations.
  • Develop skills to effectively deploy information technology assets in support of business processes, security, or business competitive advantage.
  • Apply technical critical thinking and analytic competencies to complex information systems problems.
  • Analyze, design, and develop information technology solutions under specific problem situations such as marketing, analytics, and internal controls to allow for implementation of strategic initiatives that incorporate current or emerging technologies.

Program structure:
The Master in Information Technology consists of 10 core courses (4 foundation and 6 core) and one concentration of 5 courses (3 credits each).An executive version of the program is available for individuals with sufficient academic or professional background in the field. The executive Master’s in Information Technology program consists of 6 core courses and one concentration of 5 courses (3 credits each).

Your teachers will conduct classes in real time via Microsoft Teams and work through the assigned tasks together.

Self-directed learning
Work on broader learning tasks such as reviewing recorded classes, making notes and undertaking additional reading.

Assignments/Tests

A number of courses are increasing the variety of their assessment methods to include one or more of the following:

  • Collaborative assessments
  • Research-based assessments
  • Practical assessments
  • Assessments that include a presentation (e.g. face-to-face, video)
  • Assessments that give students choices
  • Assessments that are larger, spread over a longer time, and allow for drafting/checking in throughout

Curriculum
Instructions will be in English.
Timetable includes approximately two hours of live lessons, two hours of homework, one hour of flexible learning activities and two hours of self-directed learning per week, per subject.

You will have ongoing support and interaction with your teachers using Microsoft Teams or email.

Homework – all assignments and information are provided privately and submitted securely via Blackboard or Microsoft Teams.

It’s not all study – expect guest appearances, some surprises and a bit of fun as well!

<p>English Proficiency Test: if your previous schooling has not been in English or if you are Non-Native English speaker (TOEFL, xxxx);</p><br>

<p>Provide, in the form of official transcripts, successful completion of coursework from an accredited high school or English language school certified with SEVP,</p><br>

<p>Take either of the approved proficiency exams and meet the minimum score requirements:</p><br>
<ul>
<li>IELTS (International English Language Testing System): 6.0;</li>
<li>PTE (Pearson Test of English): 67 (at least 56 in each of the “Communicative Skills” sections);</li>
<li>CPE (Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English): Grade B;</li>
<li>CAE (Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English): Grade A;</li>
<li>TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) (internet-based): 75:</li></ul><br>

<p>If the native language of the international student is English, and the University can confirm the native language, then the student is not required to take the TOEFL test. There is no limit to the number of times a student can take the test. TOEFL test scores are valid for two (2) years after the test date. The official scores become part of the permanent student record once the student has enrolled with the University.</p><br>
