Study supply chain management at master’s degree level and develop the skills for a career in this growing profession. Suitable for students with any bachelor’s degree.

Supply chain management plays an important role in a nation’s economy. The Master of Supply Chain Management equips you with the advanced knowledge and skills to enter the profession of supply chain management.

Modules

You must successfully complete 180 points, made up of professional knowledge and skills courses (135 points) and the Applied Supply Chain Management Project (45 points).

You can choose how many courses you take to fit around work demands and personal commitments, provided you complete the qualification within four years. You can continue working full-time while completing your Master of Supply Chain Management part-time.

  • BSYS864 Supply Chain Analytics: Discovering and Interpreting Data
  • MGMT861 Managing Organisations and People
  • MGMT862 Managing Change or MGMT863 Responsible Leadership
  • Then complete the applied project (45 points)
  • BSYS996 Applied Supply Chain Management Project

What will I learn?

A graduate of the Master of Supply Chain Management will be able to demonstrate:

a. Advanced knowledge of supply chain management professional practices. (Knowledge/Understanding)

b. Advanced ability to use reflection to deepen knowledge of self, others and relevant professional practice. (Personal/Intellectual Autonomy)

c. Capability to consider the social impacts of supply chain and logistic decisions (Ethical/Environmental/Professional Dispositions)

d. Conceptual and critical system thinking, analysis, reasoning, integration and judgement. (Inquiry/Research/Creativity)

e. Ability to apply contemporary theory to current supply chain management and logistics issues. (Application/Skills)

f. Ability to plan and conduct an independent project that demonstrates critical awareness of issues and challenges associated with supply chain management and logistics. (Application/Skills)

g. Effective communication and the ability to produce high quality business documents and business presentations. (Communication/Collaboration)

<p>Apply if you:</p>
<ul>
<li>Are under the age of 20 years; and</li>
<li>Are a citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand or Australia; and</li>
<li>Don’t meet the University Entrance standard; and</li>
<li>Have received secondary schooling to at least New Zealand Year 12 level (or its equivalent overseas) and completed NCEA Level 2 endorsed with Merit or better. This should include at least 14 credits in each of 4 NCEA Level 2 subjects, at least 3 of which must be on the approved subject list; and</li>
<li>Meet the UE literacy and numeracy standards, or their equivalents; and</li>
<li>Have not completed Year 13 at a New Zealand secondary school; or</li>
<li>Applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants must also be selected into the programme for which they have applied.</li><br>

<p>Students with qualifications from outside of New Zealand Applying on the basis of a qualification from another country? Use your official results for one of the following tests or qualifications to meet the English language requirements. Results can be up to two years old.</p>
