Pathway to Finland – UG Business Track

Are you an aspiring student looking to gain entry to a university in Finland? The Pathway to Finland Business -track is designed to help you prepare for undergraduate studies in the field of Business and/or Hospitality Management/Tourism. After completing the pathway studies, you will be eligible to progress to your pre-selected bachelor’s degree program and start your studies in Finland!

The program focuses on improving your English language skills, academic competence, and subject-specific knowledge. Upon completion of the program, you will have enhanced knowledge in the following areas:

  • English language skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking
  • Mathematical skills needed for further business studies
  • Academic skills, including critical thinking, academic writing, and digital skills.
  • Study skills and techniques needed for academic success
  • Basic concepts of business and economics
  • Intercultural communication

Pathway to Finland:

<li>Proof of English language</li>

<li>From IELTS 5.0, TOEFL IBT 35-45, Duolingo 75-80, or equivalent</li>
</ul>

<li>Copy of passport ID page</li>
<li>Our minimum age requirement is 17 years or older.</li>
</ul>
*You must have graduated from high school or be in your final year of studies to be eligible for the program

<li>Application deadline: 14.2.2022</li>

<p>You will be studying full-time. You are expected to attend weekly classes and lectures. Outside of lectures and classes, you will need to reserve time for self-study and group work.</p><br>

<p>HOW MANY CONTACT LESSONS PER WEEK?</p>
<p>You are expected to attend weekly lectures and classes on Zoom. There will be around 7 hours of live teaching per week organized from Monday to Friday, Finland afternoon time.</p><br>

<p>HOW MANY SELF-STUDY OR TEACHER-SUPPORTED ONLINE HOURS PER WEEK?</p>
<p>You will have approximately seven hours of online classes per week, and the rest of the time, you should reserve for self and group study. Outside of class hours, you will be interacting with your teachers and peers through the online learning platform. In addition, you will have regular meetings with your tutor.</p><br>

<p>WHAT IS THE CLASS DURATION?</p>
<p>One class typically lasts for 90 minutes.</p><br>

<p>HOW WILL STUDENTS BE ASSESSED?</p>
<p>We use a variety of different assessment methods. Course assessment is usually based on coursework, written assignments, participation, presentations, and exams. Throughout the program, you will receive support and feedback from your teachers. We also use peer and self-assessment methods to encourage you to take greater responsibility for your learning.</p><br>

<p>WHAT DOES MY PROGRESSION TO MY CHOSEN BACHELOR’S DEGREE DEPEND UPON?</p>
<p>You must complete the studies within the completion time and pass all study courses with good attendance.</p><br>

<p>WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T PASS?</p>
<p>You are allowed to retake exams and assignments twice. If you fail the re-sits, you must retake the whole study course during the next available semester.</p><br>
