Preparing payroll in any small business can be a daunting task. Whether you have one employee or 20 employees, the federal and state requirements are often the same! However, by using the payroll feature in QuickBooks 2015, you can master efficient techniques for creating checks, paying taxes, and generating forms and reports quickly and easily.

And once you’ve mastered the basics, you’ll gain troubleshooting tips and solutions to help you solve common problems and mistakes to simplify the whole payroll process. By the end of the course, you’ll be ready to process payroll in QuickBooks and solve many of the problems that can pop up along the way.

  • Lesson 10 – Making Payroll and Job Cost Reports
  • Lesson 11 – Creating and Printing W-2, W-3, and 1099 Forms
  • Lesson 12 – Troubleshooting and Solving Common Problems

Requirements:
Hardware Requirements:

  • This course must be taken on a PC. It is not suitable for Macs.

Software Requirements:

  • PC: Windows 8 or later.
  • Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge is also compatible.
  • Intuit’s desktop version of QuickBooks Pro 2015 for Windows or QuickBooks Premier 2015 for Windows (not included in enrollment).
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  • Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.

Other:
Email capabilities and access to a personal email account.

Notes:

  • Please be aware that this course covers only United States payroll procedures. Canadian (or other countries’) payroll procedures are not supported in this course.
  • The differences between the 2015 and 2016 versions of QuickBooks are quite small overall. So, you may use the 2016 version of QuickBooks while completing this course. However, just know that you may encounter some minor differences along the way.
